Puerto Rican, Orlando Cruz, came out last year as boxing's first openly gay fighter. Tomorrow night, he takes on Orlando Salido for the vacant WBO featherweight title.

The 32-year-old will wear rainbow coloured shorts in support of the gay and lesbian community.

This is for all of them. But this is for me, too. It's a beautiful opportunity for me, and it's my moment.

Due to the design of the shorts being based on the Puerto Rican flag it has caused some controversy in his home country.

Some people are mad at me, but I don't care. I respect the Puerto Rican flag. There were no bad intentions in the design of the trunks.
