According to AS  the Ander Herrera to Manchester United move is back on the cards. You may remember the botched transfer attempt that fell through on deadline day of last summer's transfer window; a day that also saw the signing of Maroune Fellaini and the beginning of a disastrous season for Manchester United and David Moyes.

United are looking to ensure that this time Herrera will not slip through their nets, according to reports, they have already met the release clause of €36m in the player's contract and want to complete the deal before the clause rises to €40m on the 1st of July.

The developments follow a statement in which the Bilbao midfielder's agent  played down speculation of a move to England. He claimed his client was happy in Spain and looked forward to playing in the Champions League with his current club.

There's nothing new. There have been rumours all year saying United wanted to sign him and then Jose Mourinho and Chelsea, but I haven't heard anything,

The focus of the player is Athletic and nothing else. Ander is on vacation and he only thinks about next season with Athletic, because he is very excited to play in the Champions League with this team.
