Since signing from Hull City for the reasonably small fee of £8 million, Liverpool left-back Andy Robertson has been a revelation in the red shirt, becoming arguably the best in his position in the Premier League.

Along with his growing collection of medals, Andy Robertson has become known as somewhat of a banter-merchant at Anfield. Robertson's 'banter' can vary in tone; from the playful mocking of team-mate Mo Salah while flexing his muscles, to the slightly more spiky tussles with Lionel Messi in the Champions League, where Robertson took an opportunity to aggressively pat the greatest player of all time on the head.

Whether you find his humour hilarious or annoying probably depends largely on your own club allegiances. But Robertson may have finally met his match in the banter stakes (last use of the word 'banter', I promise) and it has come from an extremely unlikely source.

Step forward Belle Silva, wife of Chelsea defender Thiago.

After Robertson jokingly posted a clip on TikTok of him jinking past Chelsea's Jorginho, the comments section revealed that Mrs Silva was none too impressed with the Scotsman.

"Chilwell is better then u dude you even lost to Southampton".

We're not exactly sure if there is any previous beef between Robertson and the Silvas. Obviously with Jorginho being a club team-mate and compatriot of Thiago Silva, perhaps Belle was just sticking up for a friend. Either way, we keenly await a response from Andy Robertson to see if we can take this feud to the next level.

Although losing to Ralph Hasenhuttl's Southampton might not exactly be the most embarrassing thing that can happen to someone, especially considering the shambolic defending from Chelsea when they drew 3-3 with the Saints at Stamford Bridge earlier this season - given the public ownings that Andy Robertson has been dishing out in recent years, you would have to say he had this coming.
