Another potential Irish star is set to align himself with England if the latest reports are to be believed. Middlesbrough's on-loan star Patrick Bamford, who helped them to the Championship playoffs by earning the Championship player of the year and Championship's young player of the year has been included in England's U21 squad.
Bamford, who is capped for Ireland at the U18 switched to England after that at U18 level, already has two caps for England U21. His inclusion in the squad will not prevent him from playing for the country of his grandparent's birth.
Bamford has previously revealed that he hasn't turned his back on playing for Ireland.
Bamford will now join the England U21 squad for the European Championships, but will have tough competition for a spot from the likes of Saido Berahino, Harry Kane, and Danny Ings.

Other players of note is the inclusion of Harry Kane, while the exclusion of Ross Barkley and Luke Shaw could hint at senior England inclusion.
