Kerryman, Conor Cox, will play his football with Roscommon in 2019.

RTÉ reports that Cox has transferred to play his club football with the Éire Óg club.

The Listowel football was part of the Kerry junior side which won a third All-Ireland in a row in 2017. Cox scored 1-8 - 1-5 of it from play - as his side defeated Meath. He also won All-Ireland junior medals in 2012 and 2015.

Cox, whose father hails from Roscommon, made seven appearances for Kerry in the league between 2013 and 2016. Though, he never featured in the championship. Those league appearances include scoring a point against Roscommon in 2016 defeat for Kerry in Killarney.

He also starred for UCC in the Sigerson Cup, scoring 0-3 in the 2015 final as the Cork team lost to DCU in extra-time.

Roscommon will be managed in 2019 by former Galway hurling boss, Anthony Cunningham.
