Dessie Farrell wants the GAA to bring games across the Atlantic ocean because, according to him, 7 million people watch the AFL every week in the US.

Can we get those individuals engaged, can we bring our games to more homes across America? It’s estimated there are 40 million individuals in this country of Irish extraction so if you consider the AFL broadcast their games here when their season is on and has seven million viewers on a weekly basis.

This seems an unfathomably high number. Considering that Americans haven't totally warmed to soccer is it a bit of stretch that 7 million people tune into Aussie rules? Apparently Farrell may have been mislead by wikipedia. Rookie mistake Dessie.
