At a Leinster council meeting on Wednesday night, it was decided that Nowlan Park will be the venue for the Dublin footballers' first Championship game outside Croke Park since 2006.

The All-Ireland Champions will face the winners of Laois and Wicklow in the quarter-finals of the Leinster Championship at the home of Kilkenny hurling.

The fixture will be ten years to the day since Dublin's last Championship fixture not held at GAA headquarters.

On June 4th, 2006 they defated Longford by two points at Pearse Park.
