As Kildare were threatening to stroll their way to an All Ireland Football U-20 Championship, just past the 20 minute mark a superb solo effort from Ryan O'Donoghue brought his Mayo side back into the game at Croke Park.
With the scores at 1-10 to 0-07 in favour of the Lilywhites, a kick-out saw a scramble for possession resulting in O'Donoghue powering towards the Kildare end. With one side-step to the left evading the first challenge he then took another angle to the right to open up the defence and confidently stroke the ball home into the bottom corner.

This was an excellent score at a crucial time for Mayo to keep them in contention with the second half approaching.
