Assassin's Creed Mirage is the latest major installment from the Assassin's Creed franchise. Mirage will be going back to the franchise's  15-year-old roots with it's style of gameplay.

The 13th major installment of the game will take place in Baghdad and will follow the character of Basim Ibn Is'haq prior to his appearance in Assassin's Creed Valhalla.

The game will have a renewed focus on the stealth-assassination roots of the game. Those who became a lover of the game through Valhalla should be warned, that although Mirage has clear connections to its predecessors' storyline, they will not get a similar experience.

When is Assassin's Creed Mirage being released? 

The official release for Assassin's Creed Mirage is Thursday, October 5th. Irish players will be able to have access to the game at the  following times.

  • Epic Games Store at 5pm on October 5th

What is new in Assassin's Creed Mirage?

Mirage will be the first mainline Assassin's Creed game since 2020. The upcoming game puts a focus on stealth, parkour, and carefully orchestrated assassinations, and is largely set in one location. It’s like a throwback to Assassin’s Creed games from a prior era, which some will love and others not so much.

Basim Ibn Is'haq is the main character of Assassin's Creed Mirage.

Fans of the game will already be familiar with the character as he appeared in the previous Assassin's Creed.

We already know a fair bit about him thanks to his major role in Assassin's Creed Valhalla

Is Assassin's Creed Mirage a full game?

Yes, it is, although it wasn't always. Mirage was originally created with the concept that it would be an expansion pack to Assassin's Creed Valhalla.

However, the game was soon turned into a standalone game.

Are Mirage and Valhalla connected?

Yes, they share some storylines. Mirage is set to take place 20 years before the events seen in Valhalla however.

This means we'll be following Basim background story which will showcase how he graduated from being street thief to a fully-fledged member of the Hidden Ones, the first iteration of the Assassin order founded by Aya and Bayek of AC Origins.

Will the game be free roam?

Yes, Mirage will be an open world-game. Players will be allowed the chance to explore Baghdad in their own time.

Unfortunately, the vastness of the map is expected to be smaller than previous games such as Valhalla and Odyssey.

How many hours is Mirage?

The main gameplay, so the questline is believed to be 16 hours and 47 minutes long according to those who played the game from it's early release.
