With the new year nearly upon us, we have taken a look at some of the most exciting game due for release in January and February 2024.

The Last Of Us Part 2 Remastered

The 2020 sequel to one of the best ever PlayStation exclusive games was met with enormous praise upon release three years ago.

Among its accolades were 320 Game of the Year awards, including taking the top prize at The Game Awards 2020, a 10/10 score from IGN, and 93/100 on Metacritic.

The remastered version will be the perfect upgrade for the next gen PS5, and is due for release on January 19.

Tekken 8

Tekken 8 will be the first release in the main series of Tekken fighting games since 2015, with much expected on next gen consoles.

There is further hype due to the fact that it will be the first fighting game to be powered by Unreal Engine 5.

The game is due for release on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and Windows on January 26.

Tomb Raider Remastered

Recommended

Another Playstation exclusive remaster, this release will include Tomb Raider I, II, and III, which were released back in 1996, 1997, and 1998, respectively.

Relive your 90s kid memories with Lara Croft and some improved textures and graphics.

Nightingale

This player versus environment (PVE) open world survival game, and PC exclusive, was initially promised for October 2022.

However, a decision to use Unreal Engine 5 moved the release date back considerably, all the way until February 22.

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth

The next instalment in the legendary action role-playing series is the second part of a trilogy based on 1997's original Final Fantasy 7.

It follows 2020's well received Final Fantasy 7 Remake, and will again use the characters and world from the original game.

It is due for release on PS5 on February 29.
