Gamescom Opening Night Live 2023 took place yesterday, and there was a host of big reveals and new trailers for some of the most anticipated games of the year.

Starfield was the main attraction of the night, with the upcoming action role-playing game due for release on September 6.

It is Bethesda's first original world in 25 years, and for those unaware, they are studio that gave us Elder Scrolls and Fallout.

A new live-action trailer was showcased, while game composer Inon Zur gave a performance, and game director Todd Howard spoke to the audience.

The first level for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III was also shown off, and fans will be very excited to see that it takes place in the original Warzone map, Verdansk.

There was controversy, however, when host Geoff Keighley was rudely interrupted by a stage intruder during the Starfield showcase.

A man called Matan Even - who is known to some for being an online troll and has already performed similar disruptive stunts - stormed the stage and attempted to say something about GTA 6 into the mic.

“This is such a special night for so many developers and it’s really dissappointing to see someone act that way but we’re gonna move right on with the show,” said Keighley said today.

“Really it’s just so sad to see something like this happen on a night we’re here to celebrate games hand how much they mean to us.”
