One has to go back to October 2006 to that last time Anderson Silva wasn't  sitting at the top of UFC's middleweight division. The man had never been knocked out, he had reigned supreme for so long and was starting to become an annoyance to the sport, with his constant goading of opponents.

Last night the stars aligned and he got what was coming to him after consistent taunting to his opponent, Chris Weidman, by leaving his hands by his sides and tapping his own chin to encourage a real fight, Silva was nailed with a left hook and pummelled as his lay grasping for help from the referee.
