Having spent almost 70 years as a broadcaster on radio and TV, audiences might think that they're very familiar with the incredible work and life of David Attenborough.

After all, he is one of the most beloved broadcasters alive and he's the only person to have won BAFTAs for programmes in each of black and white, colour, HD, 3D and 4K.

Aside from this, Attenborough is also one of the busiest people working in television today because he's constantly documenting the wonders of the world, as well as the threats to our planet.

However, the latest footage from his new documentary David Attenborough: A Life On Our Planet shows a very different side to Attenborough as he reflects on his early days as a broadcaster and natural historian.

For decades, the legendary broadcaster has introduced the wonders of the natural world to audiences worldwide. Now, at the age of 94 and in one of his most personal projects to date, he reveals his own experiences and anecdotes.

The documentary is scheduled to be released in cinemas this September, but it will also be available to watch on Netflix in the Autumn.

Now, for the first time, he reflects upon both the defining moments of his lifetime as a naturalist and the devastating changes he has seen.

"The film addresses some of the biggest challenges facing life on our planet, providing a snapshot of global nature loss in a single lifetime. With it comes a powerful message of hope for future generations as Attenborough reveals the solutions to help save our planet from disaster."

David Attenborough: A Life On Our Planet will premiere in cinemas on September 28 before launching on Netflix at a later date in Autumn.
